I'm baaaaack!

Ok, so if no one reads this, then I have only myself to blame because it's been forever since I last posted.

So, the last post I wrote was dramatically despairing. I'm much better now. I've readjusted my attitude and the morning sickness is gone, which helps tremendously. Since the last post, school has started (5 day a week pre-k for Jackson and MDO for Sloan). I was definitely sure that Jackson was ready for 5 day a week school, but I wasn't prepared for it as much as I thought. I miss having him home every other day and it seems that in addition to soccer starting up, we are always doing something everyday of the week. I guess this is how it will be until baby #3 is grown and out of the house...

Also, I've been busy rearranging, redecorating (sorta) Jackson's room in preparation for his sharing it with SLoan. We just got bunk beds and I've been in search for a dresser for Sloan. If I were not so stubborn and cheap, I would just go and buy a new one, but I have a hard time paying full price for a new piece of furniture. That being said, I did buy a brand new bunk bed for them, but it was on-sale. I cannot justify buying brand new items (with the exception of couches and beds/mattresses). So, I've been scouring Goodwill, Salvation army, consignment stores and thrift stores for the perfect ugly dresser to repaint and spruce up.

In addition to redoing the boys' room, I've been searching my house for things to redo/repaint. we've live in this house for a year and a half now, which, based on our track record, is an eternity. By this point in almost every other house, we have started remodeling or started building or moved into another house for me to redecorate/redo. I'm starting to feel like things are getting stagnant. Yes, I may have a problem. It could be a sickness. I've even been looking at new house plans! I have no idea why, but I think I may be addicted to houses/ house plans. Don't worry, I have no plans on moving, but a girl can dream, right?? I guess it's my passion...(weird).

I was at hobby lobby the other day and was buying Christmas ornaments 40% off for a second, little tree in our house that will have "fun" ornaments. I bought those glass ornaments for each person in our family according to their "passions". A fish for my husband who has taken up fishing in our lake almost every other day. A basketball for Jackson who LOVES the sport. A tractor for Sloan who is obsessed with them. And then, I got stuck on what is my passion. I don't play sports anymore. While I do love shoes, I wouldn't call them my passion...I realized that I am into houses. Which is not really a hobby as defined by the Christmas ornament makers association, it seems.

so there ya go. the last 2-3 months of our life. Pictures of the updated boys' room coming soon!
